About Primary Eye Care Center

Primary Eye Care Center was established in the 1960's to provide patients of all ages with the services they need to maintain excellent eye health. Whether you're in need of new eyeglasses, would like to be fitted with contact lenses, or need an eye health exam; our team is here to help. We can also help with conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, macular degeneration, and glaucoma, among others.

Our optometrist, Dr. Suzanne M. Correale, makes herself available to every patient should they have any questions about their treatment or our services. Our staff is caring and professional, and work to make appointments that work around your schedule.

Originally from Friendswood, Texas, Dr. Correale attended the University of Houston where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1990, she then received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Correale and her husband Jim live in League City, Texas, where they are raising their two children. Before joining Primary Eye Care Center in 1995, Dr. Correale worked at a large ophthalmology practice in the Houston area that specialized in glaucoma, cataracts, and retinal disease treatments. Dr. Correale worked closely with Dr. Wineinger for 7 years before his retirement in January 2003.

Dr. Correale also works closely with the area’s industrial plants to ensure their employees are furnished with industrial vision services. She also assists in providing eye care and glasses to less fortunate families through the Alvin Lions Clubs. Dr. Correale has been an active member of the Alvin Noon Lions Club since 1998, and she is also a member of The American Optometric Association and The Texas Optometric Association.

In 2001, Dr. Correale expanded her optometric license to become an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist and now has the ability to diagnose and treat the ocular disease of glaucoma in addition to her therapeutic degree that she uses to treat other eyes diseases and injuries. She enjoys the co-management of laser refractive surgery and personally tries to attend all of her patients LASIK surgeries. Dr. Correale has over 20 years of experience helping patients with all their eye care needs and continues to make their eye health and care her top priority.
